Materials
Students to provide own materials per the list below: AS A SUGGESTION, it is not required to have this complete list
- Paint palette
- Palette knife
- Artist quality odourless solvent for cleaning only
- Artist quality linseed oil or oil of choice is required
- 2 jars with lids for mixing solvents 1 small jar with lid for oil and cleaning rags.
- Canvas of choice no larger than 40 x 50 cm approx.
- Paint brushes: synthetic be sure to select a size variety you can message me for more information.
- Buying cheap paints is a waste of money- we recommend purchasing artist quality paints. Art Spectrum or Winsor & Newton is a good economical choice. 40ml tubes will be fine.
- Colours selections:
Titanium white, Ivory black, Payne’s grey, Burnt sienna, yellow ochre, Raw umber.
Cool colours: lemon yellow
Warm colours: ultramarine blue, phthalo blue.
Note: The above colours are a minimum. Optional colours:
Alizarin crimson, cerulean blue, cadmium yellow and cadmium red. Please bring these with you. Any questions please Contact Alisa.
